Pros Very simple.  3 HDMI inputs.  1 HDMI output. Very smooth clean sound. Not expensive.
Cons 3.1 design.  Cannot perform as well as true surround sound with separate speakers.
Recommended it? Yes

I did a great deal of research prior to buying the Sony HT-CT100 Sound Bar system.  I read so much misinformation that I very nearly decided against making this purchase.

Pros Relatively inexpensive for this type of home theater system. Truly excellent sound.
Cons Another remote, and losing the TV speakers. Maybe - see update

Having recently purchased a new big screen TV, I found the sound lacking that mid and lower end punch needed for realistic viewing experiences. Pros Sound quality is good. Sony hardware, Good stuff for a decent price.
Cons designed for Bravia? auto format annoying not worth the trouble.
Recommended it? No

 I purchased this system based on Sony quality which I have always been satisfied with on other purchases in the past, and the price since I didn't really need an extravagant system for a basic living room setup.
