The reason for buying headphones is usually so someone else doesn't have to listen to what you want to listen to. The Sennheiser HD-600 will change your mind, they actually can produce a better sound then some speakers.

Recommended it? Yes

High-end sound for well under $600? You bet! A good pair of headphones and a dedicated amplifier is what you need to connect to your laptop to enjoy true high end sound.

Good value - but avoid if your head is very large

Pros Comfortable, good sound quality, effective noise cancelling, good value.
Cons May not be large enough for big heads. Fussy cable a pain in the butt.
Recommended it? Yes

I found these headphones to be an excellent value with good sound quality, decent noise suppression, comfortable ergonomics, and a friendly price. They make a nice seal on your head when you wear them, but they remain comfortable.
