Had one of these for years and recently bought a new one for a new computer.  It's one of those subtle enchancements that doesn't seem like a necessity at first, but once you start using it you can't imagine a Mac without one.

Pros - good price - solid feel - easy to install
Cons - light is a little distracting
Recommended it? Yes

There are a lot of great film editing software products for Macintosh -- everything form iMovie up to professional quality gear. The catch is most of them require you to use arrow keys to advance the film marker.
