Pros This is the functional equivalent of the Yamaha DV-S5270
Cons It has been recently discontinued
Recommended it? Yes

The Yamaha DVD-S796 is the same unit as the DV-S5270 (I have already written a full review of that on Epinions).

The S-796 is, or rather was, sold in audiophile stores, while the DV-S5270 is generally sold in the mass market variety. Other than that, they are the same.
