I bought WD my book by mistake in a way. I thought my computer was having problems because it was too full. Of course this was not true, but it was very helpful in saving my data when I had to reinstall the operating system.

Pros Good value, good capacity, does not power from USB ports
Cons Not the most portable drive, a separate partition for administrative files would be nice
