Pros Phones where I've never had them before! Features galore!
Cons Reception not always very good. Conversations sometimes "drop out" briefly.

Boy, was I ever excited to get my hands on this phone! Finding a 4-line cordless phone is really a daunting task, so when I saw that VTech had just released this 2.4Ghz 4-line model, I ordered one immediately. I was really hoping that this phone would be just what I had been searching for.

The VTech 5831 is a 2 piece digital cordless telephone. It is one of the first telephones to utilize the 5.8 GHz frequency and can expand to add up to 5 optional handsets to bring the number of usable handsets to 6. Pros Decent range, an impressive array of features, ease of use and oh yeh, cool styling!
Cons Vtech had an almost perfect phone, but ruined it with a lousy battery.
Recommended it? Yes

My first experience with this phone was when Bellsouth sent one with their logo on it. When I received my first bill for it, it promptly was returned as they had told me the phone was "just $30" not 6 (yes, 6) installments of $30!! Installments?!! On a phone?
