My First DVD player was a Toshiba SD-4990.  After playing about 4 movies, it quit working. Checking the internet, the reviews were pretty bad, which I thought unusual. Pros Picture is very good. The pan on the zoom feature has been improved.
Cons Design of unit and remote. Radio interference. Some features eliminated. Minor problem...

My old Toshiba DVD player died two months short of five years. From researching the current available players, this one seemed to have the desired features.

However, overall, it is not as good as my first Toshiba player.
