Excellent picture quality on HD dvd and regular DVD, best sound quality.

I bought this second gen HD-DVD player on sale at Future shop because the 3rd gen players (HD A3, A30 and A35) beeing lesser quality and having more stability problems than the second gen (A2-A20 and XA2).

This is the worst dvd player. We were torn btwn getting either a blue ray or an hd dvd. Toshiba's HD A2 was one of the few hd dvd's that were available at the time. I bought the player in January 07. There was a promotion running to get 3 dvd's for free. Lured by the freebie, we chose Toshiba...
