These headphones have a whole new approach to high quality headphone design that's established a whole new look on the street. These are ideal for use with all Sony Walkman personal stereo players or anything you want to get the most sound from. Especially with Sony's Acoustic Turbo Circuit that enables these lightweight headphones to pump out big, heavy bass. You want that big, bass sound from your portable system? You can strap a couple of fat woofers to your head (not very stylish), or slip on a pair of Street Style headphones and jam on. Less

Great headphones, but lacking in comfort.

bydpeck Aug 18, 2003
9 Helpfuls 10 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Snug fit, good sound, inexpensive, stylish
Cons Gets uncomfortable after short wear
Recommended it? Yes

There are a lot of new "behind the neck" styled headphones on the market. If you just go to the store and browse the shelf, it's hard to know what you're getting into. Fortunately, there are sites like epinions.com to give consumers a little bit of foresight by allowing them to read what others... Read full review »

Pros The S2 Headphones are lightweight and have nice reflectors on them.
Cons They are extremely quiet and sound terrible
Recommended it? No

These headphones are terrible, I can barely hear them when the sound is cranked up on my CD player. My $10 pair do a better job than these. They are lightweight, durable, and portable yes, but the sound quality is absolutely terrible. They look nice, especially with the reflectors, but they won't... Read full review »

Sony should be ashamed to sell this product.

Pros Good sound quality, very portable
Cons Very uncomfortable, can't wear for long periods of time
Recommended it? No

I need to start with a small preface, I love sound, I'm obsessed with it, and I listen to sound all day and all night on all different speakers and TV's and car systems. Due to my audiophile nature it is very possible there are things that would bother me in a set of speakers that most people... Read full review »

The ideal headphone for DJ's

bypanman3 Feb 17, 2002
9 Helpfuls 10 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros good audio quality, foldable, aspecially handy for DJ's
Cons Connection cord has more weight than average headphone
Recommended it? Yes

The MDR-V500DJ is a headphone especially designed for DJ's. As a semi-pro DJ I have so far enjoyed my headphone a lot.

PROS:

The most important advantage is the spiral, telephone-alike cable wich solves the problem of the (long) cord getting stuck under your chair, behind a... Read full review »
