Sony ICD-PX820 Digital Voice Recorder is a little device that offers 535 hrs of voice recording in digital quality with standard 2gb memory.  The unit measures 4.3x1.4.x0.7 inches and weighs 2.2 oz.  It can be bought online for about $50.
