UPDATE AS OF 02-01-2007: ALAS, YESTERDAY ALL MY (400!) "DISC EXPLORER" ENTRIES VANISHED! THE USUAL "LOADING" MESSAGE APPEARED ON THE SCREEN, AND THEN EVERYTHING FROZE. AFTER I FINALLY GOT THE MACHINE TO SHUT OFF, I TURNED IT BACK ON, ONLY TO DISCOVER THAT ALL MY PAINSTAKINGLY TYPED DISC INFORMATION...

It is rare to find Blue ray recorder,This is expensive but the same time good Recorder/Player. I would not buy it, if i did not have HD tv, This will work perfect only with hd tv. Amazing Item
