The HD 201 is your budget headphone. But don't knock it - this unit puts out powerful sound with emphasis on the bass. The closed headphone design limits the amount of noise filtering in from your environment, so you can be sure that you'll be hearing nothing but the music you're listening to. Pros Exceptionally clear mids, and highs. Extended bass response. VERY comfortable.
Cons Expensive, Bass could be better for price range.
Recommended it? Yes

Let me first start off by saying that I am not the type of person that would normally pay $300 for a set of headphones. As it turned out I had a large store credit burning a hole in my pocket, so I ended up paying $269 for these babies at Ultimate Electronics. All I can say is that these are... Read full review »

Pros High quality, great sound, variety of ear pieces, the cord.
Cons Price.
Recommended it? Yes

I once heard something on a commercial that really sticks in my mind: "You'll remember the quality long after forgetting about the price". I have been searching for a decent pair of cheap headphones for a while now. What I am searching for is a pair of headphones with decent sound, comfort, durability, and appearance, for less than $30. So far, the best I have tried are the street-style cans that came with my $40 Panasonic MP3 CD... Read full review »

Pros Price, comfort level, sound insulation, sensitivity, looks
Cons Size, overall sound quality
Recommended it? Yes

Recently, Amazon.com had Sennheiser HD201 on sale for $10. Obviously, this is a ridiculously low price for decent enclosed headphones from a reputable brand. So I bought the HD201 to compare them to my Sennheiser HD202 as well as other headphones I had (e.g. Koss KSC75). As a point of comparison,... Read full review »
