Pros Free, Plays Blue Rays, sync with Samsung TV, up converts,
Cons Can read all disks, need firmware update, freezes old disks, slow loading

Got this machine as part of a promo with my Sammy 4661F LCD 1080p. Paid $1499 for both the TV & player. Deal of the century. If I had to pay for this machine – prob would not buy Samsung. Would have gone for Sony. Seems like they have less problems playing new & old disks.

The Samsung BD-P1400 is a good quality Blu-Ray DVD player, and replaced the earlier P1000 in my home system. However, imagine my disappointment when I discovered it could not play "Live Free or Die Hard" disk released on 20 November, 2007. And as of Friday, 23 November, there was no mention on the...
