Pros It's an attractive, sleek model.
Cons It won't last long. Remote buttons tiny for most functions used.
Recommended it? No

I strongly don't recommend this model, Toshiba SD-K740 DVD Player. I've had it ten months and it's about to give up the ghost. It still plays pre-recorded DVDs, but pauses every four or five minutes. Pros Very easy to set up and operate, plays DVDs, CDs, and MP3s, extra functions
Cons Some style issues, CD track blue screen tends to be shaky

Pros Lots of support for multiple disc and video formats.
Cons Cheap display. Complex drive mechanism has bad failure mode.
Recommended it? No

I bought this at Costco for $45 because an existing Toshiba DVD player was beginning to have trouble playing brand-new undamaged discs.
