Completely scalable, the drive's speed does not change even if you add additional NetDisks and the number of NetDisks that can be added to a LAN is unlimited. Average read seek times run at 8.9ms with a 7200rpm spindle speed. Data is also protected via the drive's 2MB buffer and asynchronous mirroring. Mirroring continuously creates and saves a copy of data in real time onto a second NetDisk whenever data is written to the first NetDisk. Plus, two NetDisk units to be recognized as one large drive. The drive is hot-swappable and pre-formatted. NetDisk is truly a simple and convenient network storage solution without a need for servers, cumbersome management software, or IP configuration.
