Pros All that you pay for and a little more. Good feature set.
Cons S-L-O-W. No HDMI.

I have a rule when it comes to electronics. Buy the best. Before buying anything I read a lot, browse a lot, research everything and consider all of the major brands. So how come I've got a Protron PD-DVR100 sitting under my ridiculously overpriced TV? Well it's a long story.

Pros cheap, feature rich, decent playback and recording.
Cons questionable reliability, ugly interface, stolen design.

During my usual casual browsing of HHGregg's web site I saw this model on sale for $69. I spent weeks trying to find a DVD recorder, and finally decided on the DVD-VR330. I'm very happy with the operation of this unit. I wanted to transfer our old VHS home videos to DVD, and the process is very easy, and it works very well.
