Pros Comfortable, durable
Cons Need Xbox Live Communicator (sold separately)

I have some bad luck when it comes to the Microsoft brand headsets. After three months of use, the plastic clip that holds the microphone broke, and a second headset also gave out on me. Fed up with Microsoft's offerings, I opted for the Plantronics Gamecom X10.

Pros Very comfortable, easy to use, has other uses
Cons Chord is too short, does not include an Xbox Live Communicator

I recently purchased the home theater or the box system designed for integration with the Xbox 360. Initially when this came out it was listed at approximately $499 however it is now become available through multiple retailers for between $140 and $180.
