Pros Great sound, durable, compact.
Cons Ear pads last only a few years before the "pleather" flakes off.
Recommended it? Yes

I have had my pair of these headphones for 18 years.

These headphones (or the identical model MDR-7506 that basically differs only in the gold-plated plug) are the 'phones that you will frequently see professional studios using for mixing music. They are almost a reference standard in... Read full review »

Pros Full spectrum frequency response and beyond. Bright bass and treble. Comfortable to use...

Good sound, but.....

bycommuterbike Dec 11, 2005
3 Helpfuls 4 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Very good sound overall, bass handling and high volume capability.
Cons Very uncomfortable
Recommended it? Yes

These Pioneer HDJ1000 headphones have very good sound. Very good bass response; but they are very uncomfortable. There is too much inward tension against the ears and it's difficult to adjust to lessen the tension. The padding is too hard and small in diameter; they sit on top one's ears not around...
