Cons Resistence of opening LCD Screen, buttons and it loads/stops DVD's kinda loud.

I actually have the MPD 720 which means that you get the MPD 700 unit but with a carrying case and car adapter included in the box. I promise you will not be sorry if you buy this player. Ok. We bought the MPD-700 from our local Target store last year (May 28, 2004). It suddenly stopped working two weekends ago (January 29, 2005). We got this player for Christmas and we like it alot.  It plays a quality picture, it is lightweight and compact.  The only negative about this player is that it is slow to load.  But otherwise, it is a great deal and a great price. Read full review »

This player does not play anything except blu ray disks and store bought movie dvds. It does not play dvds you make on pc from your video camera, no picture cd, no other format supported even though it says it supports other formats but read the fine print and it says none of them may play.
