I purchased this product 13 months ago and have had two bulbs blow out; one every 5-6 months. If it had not been under warranty it would have cost me $630.00 to purchase new bulbs. Panasonic's owners manual says the bulbs should last 10,000 hours. When you get a replacement bulb they only warrant...

When looking for a tv now, you have 2 clear options. LCD vs DLP. LCD prices have come down so much, but start getting spendy when you get into the 50" range- which is the reason a DLP TV is a great choice.
The tv is bright, but yet has a decent level of black balance for those dark scenes...
