Not only is there more static than ever, you cannot turn the volume loud enough to hear over the static. Whenever telemarketers call and refuse to leave a message, it causes the phone to stay busy all day long, completely eliminating the point of an answering machine in the first place. I hate this... Pros Full featured 5.8 GHz Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum phone.
Cons Phone volume erratic after a few months of use, due to premature battery failure.
Recommended it? Yes

Update 1/20/07 Battery failure after about six months. OEM replacement costs around $18. Found an AT&T branded battery for $10.
