Pros Great quality video, and audio. Price is certainly right.

Cons Remote could be better. No wi-fi. A bit slow at loading discs.

Recommended it? Yes

Plays Blu-rays great, as expected. Not much else to say about that. It's comparable with other Blu-ray players. Loading the disc takes time, but this is also a problem with other players.

Pros price/value combination seems to be right. buying through Costco gives piece of mind

Cons setup is not very easy. concerned about why HDMI forced sound to disappear...

I got BD-655 model from Costco which should be identical except that there is HDMI cable included. Connecting using HDMI resulted in the loss of sound altogether in my SOny XBR8 (cured by un-plugging the TV and then using regular video cable to connect). As result - can not really... I rec. one of these as a gift in Dec of 2009 from my wife. When it works, it produces a great picture on our HD TV.
