Pros Great sound, plays MP3s, IR Onkyo link, 6 discs, coaxial & optical digital outs
Cons Lower SNR than Denon, No HDCD support, No SACD support

Pros Sounds good when it plays.

Player worked well at first but after a couple of months would occasionally not recognize that a CD was loaded. It would scan all six slots and then would display No Disc. If you are an audiophile, chances are you're way beyond the five disc CD changer, but for those who want to upgrade from the first multiple disc CD player they bought in the 80's without completely revamping their entire audio setup, Sony's SCD-CD595 5-Disc CD Changer is a great choice.

Pros Fine SACD, good redbook CD, inexpensive.
Cons Slow disc read and level change, remote lacks number buttons for direct track access.
Recommended it? Yes

Bought this SACD changer a few months ago, so now have good experience with it and a dozen classical and jazz SACD's. The SACD feature, with a SACD disc of course, in 2-channel mode, does seem to add some detail, naturalness and spaciousness compared to regular, "redbook" CD. Multichannel discs...
