Pros with good batteries, lasts a while, just don't get caught out.

Ok you can now get double the capacity then when I bought this a year ago but the quality is exceptional and yea the sound from the in built speaker is poor. After transfer to the pc it is great and if one has a program to adjust the noise etc.

Pros Inexpensive. Can download WAV files via USB. Good voice recording. Four folders,...
Cons Poor quality tinny sound, particularly after download. Easy to mistake VN-480 (non-USB)...
Recommended it? Yes

This recorder is a good recorder if you are a student who wishes to record long lectures. You can download the files to your computer via USB if you buy the VN-480PC version, but watch out that you don't accidently get the VN-480 version which doesn't allow this.
