Pros Works perfectly.
Cons Questionable durability and not very ergonomic.
Recommended it? Yes

One of the first things I did with my new Nikon D5100 was zoom into some houses on the hill top and set the camera for a long exposure. I used a tripod but that wasn’t enough because I had a zoom lens. Well there was movement from my hand hitting the shutter release button. The lights on the... Read full review »

I just bout this remote a few weeks ago when getting other goodies to go with my nikon d40. It was easy to use, set the camera on the remote setting, and push the button. It doesn't get easier than that! If you need a remote for your nikon, I highly recommend this one to you. It's a great price and... Read full review »

Pros Setup could not be easier, flexibility, a true universal remote
Cons Price, no RF, button feel, somewhat awkward in size
Recommended it? Yes

My first foray into the universal remote control world was the Kameleon 8 in 1 universal remote. Pretty cool concept, but if you had a cable box DVR (in other words, an integrated tuner/PVR type solution), the Kameleon fell short. Don't get me wrong, the Kameleon is a decent remote for the price,... Read full review »

Getting Close To The Ultimate Universal Remote Control

Pros Simplifies all the devices into one.
Cons Still not ready for prime time for most of us because of complexity and price.
Recommended it? Yes

Handheld remote controls are, like the VCR and its derivatives, something our kids take for granted but something that came into many of our lives when we reached adulthood. I know this dates me (doesn't everything now?), but there was a time when, if you wanted to change channels or adjust the... Read full review »
