Pros Compact, large screen, lightweight, easy to use
Cons Externally charged battery, small gallery view.

We bought the Nikon Coolpix s50 recently after spending a few weeks browsing in stores and onlines at the multitude of slim ultraportable digital cameras. We finally settled on the Coolpix s50 because of it's formfactor, functionality, and picture quality.

The s50 is a 7.2 megapixel... Read full review »

Nikon Just Can't get it Right

bysailingshot Jul 29, 2006
6 Helpfuls 7 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Small, skips easily on a lake surface!
Cons Poor focus, mediocre speed, soft optics, requires expensive Nikon batteries.
Recommended it? No

Handling
Much like the S1, slim, harder to hold for big hands... Read full review »

UPDATE 11/26/2009: I've owned this camera for over a year now, and I can only say that I'm still thrilled by it. My friend recently told me that I took the best photos at his wedding among the many people there with all sorts of high-powered digital cameras.  I credit this in part to luck (of...
