My router (an SMC 802.11G router) is on the third floor and I'm using this card in my notebook on the first floor and I get 7-8 out of 8 "dots" on the signal strength meter and consistently connect at 54 Mbps. The utility that comes with the card is also decent, though I wish it would automatically...
