Play, fast forward, etc. buttons on the top, not stackable. No HDMI input.

Well, especially for its price, image quality cannot get much better than this via Component input. The player itself looks like nothing when you take it out of the the box. It's almost scary. No
It recognizes copy proofing, sometimes right in the beginning sometimes halfway through making a personal disc for your own convenience, and that is legal I understand. Marketing or otherwise distributing copies is not legal.
It is such a problem in this area I'm thinking of returning it.

The Magnavox ZV427MG9 DVD Recorder / VCR Combo is an excellent product. It was easy to set up and is simple to use. It does run a bit slow, but you just have to be patient with it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a midpriced recorder.
