Pros Relatively speedy overall
Cons Higher CPU utilization, higher random access time, a little erratic performance

When I purchased the Compaq 2110US laptop, it came with the speedy Hitachi (used to be IBM's line) TravelStar DK23EA-60 60 GB hard drive. IBM was always known for their performance in the DeskStar line, and now in pint-sized form as well.
