Cons Software interface could be more user-friendly; large physical size

Recently my company purchased me a Hewlett Packard Scanjet G3010 Flatbed Scanner for use in my office. My job requires that I archive documents on our networked hard drive, which means that I have to scan hard copy documents into .pdf form. I have also used the scanner to scan photographs.

Good cheap scanner, but don't ever expect promised driver software!

Pros Lots of scanner for the money. Prodigious resolution at near-microscopic levels.
Cons Film-scanning feature completely (and most likely permanently) useless.
Recommended it? Yes

The time has finally come for a review of a solid, workhorse scanner that seems to keep going while others fail. The Hewlett Packard ScanJet G4050 Flatbed USB Scanner is a product that I am very familiar with. For four years now, I have worked with over 20 of these particular HP USB 2.0 scanners... Pros may be good for handling any printed documentation (Photo, drawing, doc,)
Easy...
Cons Poor interface
Learning curve very long
No tweaking...
Recommended it? No

we have acquired this scanner for overall scanning but because HP was boosting the suppose ability to scan 25 35mm slide at a time and 30 35mm negative. We never was able to scan a full platen at any one time except at very very low resolution (less than 300dpi).
The worst is still to come:... Read full review »
