Handspring Visor Neo - Vanilla with Food Coloring

byyusakugo Oct 8, 2001
49 Helpfuls 50 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Under $200, Springboard, redesigned Platinum, older Visor accessories fit
Cons essentially redesigned Platinum, bulky design, same old Visor design
Recommended it? Yes

After writing a review on the Visor Pro, I couldn't help but think of Handspring's other latest entry into the market as more plain vanilla with food coloring in the Palm OS hardware world. This isn't to say that the Visor Neo is a bad device, but that the unit has you wondering if you've gone... Read full review »

The Neo is a good bargain PDA!

byjeremyf Oct 20, 2001
17 Helpfuls 18 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Most accessories and add-ons, largest monochrome screen available, PalmOS upgrades,...
Cons SLIMY AND SMUDGY! No jog dial, Flash ROM, or rechargable battery. Relatively large form.
Recommended it? Yes

Bargain PDA's have the problem that other bargain electronics have: They lack high-end features and they become obsolete faster than more expensive models.

The Handspring Neo is a good way to work around some of these problems. At $200, it's not bargain-basement cheap, but it won't break... Read full review »

Palm Tungsten E - What a Deal!

byvadimio Dec 20, 2003
109 Helpfuls 110 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros good price, 32 MB, battery life, beautiful screen, software package, Palm OS 5.2, MP3...
Cons no Universal Port, cannot use Avantgo
Recommended it? Yes

Lately, Palm Inc. has been developing PDAs for everyone's needs. If you need a camera on your device, get a Palm Zire 71. If you need lots of raw power and Bluetooth connectivity, get a Tungsten T3. The Zire 21, Tungsten C and Tungsten W are also good choices for those that need PDAs for various... Read full review »

90 Helpfuls 91 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Price, features, decent battery life, speed, 32MB of memory, PIM improvements, Documents...
Cons limited MP3 capabilities, no universal connector, minor issues.
Recommended it? Yes

Well, I can't review every Palm model out there since I can't afford to buy every model out there... but with the most exciting lineup of Palm PDAs I've seen in the past year in a half in the under $400 range and being a member of the Palm pays back program (which got me this model and a Zire 21...
