The Fujitsu MAP series disk drives deliver industry leading performance and set uncompromising standards, with capacity points up to 147 GB and an average seek time of 4.5 ms. Technology ownership enables the Fujitsu group to control every aspect of the product, including initial design, key components, critical processes, final assembly and test. The Fujitsu group's expertise in key components and strong commitment to excellence work together to produce products that deliver not only outstanding performance and reliability, but also low overall cost of ownership.\n\nHigher areal density improves reliability by reducing the total number of platters and read/write heads (moving parts) required to achieve a given capacity. Additional benefits to lower head and platter counts include improved performance and reductions in power consumption, acoustic noise, and cost per MB. The Mean-Time-Between-Failure (MTBF) specification of 1, 200, 000 hours results in long term reliable operation.\n\nThe MAP series disk drive Less

Featuring Ethernet and USB 2.0/1.1 connectivity, the 80GB NetDisk freely switches roles as a network and local storage device. Completely scalable, the drive's speed does not change even if you add additional NetDisks and the number of NetDisks that can be added to a LAN is unlimited. Average read seek times run at 8.9ms with a 7200rpm spindle speed. Data is also protected via the drive's 2MB buffer and asynchronous mirroring. Mirroring continuously creates and saves a copy of data in real time onto a second NetDisk whenever data is written to the first NetDisk. Plus, two NetDisk units to be recognized as one large drive. The drive is hot-swappable and pre-formatted. NetDisk is truly a simple and convenient network storage solution without a need for servers, cumbersome management software, or IP configuration. It is ideal for home networks and offices and small to medium businesses. Less
