Pros Excellent optics for low price and compact size, uses 2 AA batteries, features, 4x zoom
Cons Flash creates shadow in corner in Macro mode and overexposes unless you use ISO50/f8

A replacement for the last year's Canon A75, the 3.2-Megapixel Canon PowerShot A510 is currently available at rather low prices. Pros cool features, great pics, easy to use
Cons I don't care for the type of battery it uses.
Recommended it? Yes

Don't get me wrong- I had a digital camera- and there was nothing wrong with it, except for the software started acting a little weird and not doing what it was supposed to do. But other than that, my camera was in excellent shape to be about 4 years old.
