The DCM-290 will play all commercially available CD recordings plus CDR and CDRW recordings made on a Component CD Recorder or Computer drive. Pros Good sound quality and an all-around nice machine for a reasonable price.
Cons None, really.
Recommended it? Yes

This got panned for having the CD inserted "upside down". Actually this is a real PLUS! If the playing side of the CD faces UP, then the laser beam is facing DOWN which means less chance of dust settling on the beam itself.
