Cons I had two machines, neither worked properly. Overheats easily.

This will be a very short review as my experience with a WORKING Cyberhome 1600 is very limited. I purchased one in May '05 at my neighborhood Best Buy.

Pros Inexpensive, good instruction manual.

Cons Poorly made, remote would not work properly, entire unit broke after 6 weeks.

Pros playback of DVDs

Cons VCR recording and playback, no RF coaxial cable outputs

I purchased this a few months ago for a secondary TV set. I use this only for playback of tapes and DVDs.

The playback of VHS tapes is average to below average (tolerable for me). Below average playback is standard nowadays with VCRs. Finding a good VCR is difficult.

Excellent! I love using the Toshiba SD-V296 DVD Player / VCR Combo, it is so easy to use, and i have no issues with skipping. All my movies do well on here and I love the price.
