Pros None.
Cons I had two machines, neither worked properly. Overheats easily.
Recommended it? No

This will be a very short review as my experience with a WORKING Cyberhome 1600 is very limited. I purchased one in May '05 at my neighborhood Best Buy.

I tried to transfer footage from my DV Camcorder, but ran into problems right away. The machine must format the DVD+R disc before... Read full review »

Pros Inexpensive, good instruction manual.
Cons Poorly made, remote would not work properly, entire unit broke after 6 weeks.
Recommended it? No

I purchased the Cyberhome DVR 1600 DVD Recorder at my local Best Buy in March. I was confident that I was buying a good product because # 1 – it's coming from Best Buy and # 2 – I have a compact Cyberhome DVD player that has worked fine for a couple of years. I needed a new DVD player to replace a... Read full review »

This Blu Ray player leaves regular Cheap DVD players blue with envy.

10 Helpfuls 11 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Firmware updates able.  BD live. Very good performance overall.
Cons BD Live Painfully slow. No Eject command on remote.
Recommended it? Yes

The Blu-ray player is the new kid on the block value HD format for all. No longer are the players over $1000.00 for the everything player that few may enjoy. Blu-ray pricing has plummeted in the players at least. Not so much the discs themselves. Though if you shop carefully, it is not too bad for... Read full review »

Plays EVERYTHING! BluRay, DVD-R/RW, DVD +R/RW

bytheqman Aug 22, 2009
9 Helpfuls 10 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Plays DVD+R/RW as well as DVD-R. Outputs Composite, Component AND HDMI
Cons N/A
Recommended it? Yes

I almost went for the Samsung, but when I read it would ONLY show BluRay and DVD-R ("NOT DVD+R/+RW) I picked this up instead.
I like the fact that it will not only output to HDMI, but also the component AND Composite (Single yellow RCA connector) - ALL AT THE SAME TIME!!!
