Pros Inexpensive
Cons Poor Sound Quality
Recommended it? No

I purchased these speakers after my old Altec Lansing speakers went out. I was looking for a set of speakers for about $30 and this got good reviews on other websites.

I brought these in, hooked them up, played one song and knew they were going right back. There was no volume, a constant... Read full review »

Pros Cheap
Cons Do not play loud well, volume control is touchy
Recommended it? Yes

I needed some new speakers to replace my 5 year old ones salvaged from another computer, but I was in no real hurry. Pros Great sound for price, durable, cable tucks away, speakers lock back securely.
Cons Don't have the volume or bass of more expensive or larger units.
Recommended it? Yes

I own more than a dozen portable/travel speakers, including some fairly expensive units, and these are the best speakers under $75. As a matter of fact, you can often find them for less than $20 (plus S&H) from on-line stores.

Let's compare these to the Sony SRS T55/57 speakers, which... Read full review »

Great for the price

Pros Great sound, small footprint, very portable
Cons When powered, there's a little distortion, plus some hum.
Recommended it? Yes

I was extremely pleased to learn that these speakers can be used both powered and *unpowered*. In fact, I use them mostly without the power (connected to my iPod), and get cubicle-filling sound. I believe the volume would be enough even to wake me, and I'm a heavy sleeper. When powered, the volume... Read full review »
