Pros Good picture, allows all audio signals to pass through, Profile 1.1 - promise of upgrades
Cons Nothing really, unless Samsung decides to not upgrade this player with profile 2.0

I bought this dvd player because I had alot of old dvds which I wanted to watch on my hdtv. It does a pretty good job upconverting them to near 1080p hd quality.
