This product works ok. It is very reasonably priced and is able to play old and scratched DVDs. The unit itself is easy to install and gives good performance. Good buy.

I bought this dvd player because I had alot of old dvds which I wanted to watch on my hdtv. It does a pretty good job upconverting them to near 1080p hd quality. It also has a USB connection...you can connect a flashdrive or even an external hard drive and run various media files from that. Overall...

I suppose as consumers, we all get used to various products. Refrigerators are tall and rectangle, ovens are sort of square, microwaves are rectangles, and BluRay players are those rectangular boxes!

I guess it's about a year, or closing in, on the purchase of this unit. I checked a lot of reviews when it was first introduced and the consensus was fabulous BUT DON'T UPGRADE THE FIRMWARE! One of the reviews indicated poor up-conversion on standard DVD's. I dis-agree -at least when...
