Pros A surprisingly robust system for such a cheap price.
Cons The remote is too damn small for my massive paws.
Recommended it? Yes

It was not too long ago that my mom sent me a whole bunch of home movies that she wanted me to dub and edit and clean up on my computer. Pros None. Panasonic is no longer the reliable company it used to be!
Cons 50% failure rate, old technology. Do not buy this deck. Check out the Magnavox MDR515H

I'll be short and sweet here.

I'm a film and video professional. I've worked in the business for over 25 years so I know equipment. I bought this deck to replace high quality Panasonic machines we've used over the years and finally wore out.

Pros Good manual, lots of options, great up-conversion, remote controls TV too

We don't have cable, satellite, or any other pay-tv service, so when we were looking for DVD recorders, it had to have a tuner. That eliminated about 95% of the models on the market.
