Returning it to the store

Pros Cheap and small size.
Cons Does not work correctly.

I purchased this DVD yesterday and will be returning it to the store today. It would not read my DVD+R or my DVD+RWs at all. It also would not correctly display the main menu for a commercial DVD that we own making it impossible to watch any of it except for one out of three movies on the DVD... Read full review »

Pros None. Panasonic is no longer the reliable company it used to be!
Cons 50% failure rate, old technology. Do not buy this deck. Check out the Magnavox MDR515H

I'm a film and video professional. I've worked in the business for over 25 years so I know equipment. I bought this deck to replace high quality Panasonic machines we've used over the years and finally wore out.

We don't have cable, satellite, or any other pay-tv service, so when we were looking for DVD recorders, it had to have a tuner. That eliminated about 95% of the models on the market.
