Canon's "A" series digicams have been very popular with consumers since the introduction of the revolutionary little A20. Canon PowerShot A510 Digital Camera - Compact and Cheap, But Flexible

bydkozin Aug 3, 2005
41 Helpfuls 42 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Excellent optics for low price and compact size, uses 2 AA batteries, features, 4x zoom
Cons Flash creates shadow in corner in Macro mode and overexposes unless you use ISO50/f8
Recommended it? Yes

A replacement for the last year's Canon A75, the 3.2-Megapixel Canon PowerShot A510 is currently available at rather low prices. I got mine for $161 after coupons including taxes and shipping at Dell. I also got the 4-Megapixel A520 to see the difference for only $20 more. Your mileage may vary... Read full review »

Pros Excellent price, good lens with image stabilization, great for those new to the EOS line
Cons Lens does not utilize full sensor resolution, lens a bit slow, no true wide angle
Recommended it? Yes

Officially released on August 20th, and finally in select stores on the 30th (i.e. Ritz Cameras etc.), the 40D made waves way before official specs were released. In fact, the rumor mill started as early as one year ago and went rampant for nearly the whole time. With such hype, it comes at no... Read full review »

I recently bought the Canon EOS 5D,their full frame sensor camera... Read full review »
