Pros Excellent price, good lens with image stabilization, great for those new to the EOS line
Cons Lens does not utilize full sensor resolution, lens a bit slow, no true wide angle

Pros Easy interface, beautiful renderings, fully customizable. 
Cons Could use more zoom, but different lenses can be purchased for distant shots.
