Pros Fast, quiet, simple, light, mounts sideways to save room. Saves to PDF format.
Cons Slow initialization, no auto-feed.
Recommended it? Yes

This scanner replaced an old HP scanner that I used for years. I've always liked using single-use flat-beds versus all-in-ones due to the flexibility of features provided on scanners. I had to buy a new scanner to be able to scan my old family photos. Having used a Microtek Scanwizard scanner (forgot model) for about 5 years, I have been fully contented with it not until it had rendered "film-like line-colors" on the photos it scanned, probably because of its age.
