Pros 10 megapixels, improved ergonomics, great battery life
Cons Slow f3.5 maximum aperture on EF-S 18-55mm zoom
Recommended it? Yes

Canon introduced the first sub $1000 dSLR (Digital Rebel/EOS300D) in 2003 and the company's second generation Digital Rebel XT/ EOS 350D was the hands-down dSLR sales leader in 2005. Canon's third generation Rebel XTi/EOS400D has a larger LCD screen, an improved hand-grip, a new user interface,... Read full review »

I consider myself an intermediate photographer and I owe all of my enhanced interest in the subject and art of photography to the rapid onset of digital cameras to the marketplace. byteamfreak16 Sep 4, 2011
33 Helpfuls 34 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Affordability, easy to use
Cons Only 8 mega pixels, cheap plastic construction might not be as durable
Recommended it? Yes

Sometimes, it’s true: you get what you pay for. Once in awhile, though, being cheap pays off. In this case, I got off very cheap when I purchased Vivitar’s ViviCam 8025 at Walmart for $35.00. And while at thirty-five bucks it’s obviously not the best digital camera on the market,... Read full review »

Disappointed with Zoom feature

bylakishae Dec 7, 2009
5 Helpfuls 6 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros It's compact, lightweight and comes with a sturdy carrying case.
Cons Color quality is poor and any zoomed-in on images are fuzzy.
Recommended it? No

I purchased this camera from Walmart for 59.99. I was looking for an inexpensive quality camera. Unfortunately, I did not find the quality I was looking for in the VIviCam 8025. There was no need for the camera-maker to provide a zoom option if the picture is not viewable. The color quality is not... Read full review »
