I purchased this scanner to replace an Epson Expression 1600 scanner with transparency adapter. That scanner served me 6 years, but started to put colored lines in the scans. This scanner has a learning curve, but once you learn all the tricks, it is very easy to use. Scanning quality is good as well as the software is responsive. Editing your documents and converting them into various formats is easy. It is built to take smaller to medium sized work load.
