For example, record time is one hour for HQ mode and six hours in SLP mode. DVD-400 is also a player; in addition to DVD+R and DVD+RW, use it for DVD, DVD-R, DVD-RW, SVCD, VCD and CD-DA discs. I received the Sony RDR-VX500 Video Cassette Recorder/DVD Recorder as a Christmas gift in December 2004. When I was given the gift, I was very impressed with the Sony name and all of the features that came along with it. Little did I know that I would be in for a rough ride!
