We purchased this product as part of a high end home theatre system designed for our new home. The first unit was installed in Aug 2004. Pros Matched my Denon receiver.
Cons It takes too many stamps to mail it back to the manufacturer every six months.
Recommended it? No

Well I am reluctant to say that I too have had nothing but trouble with this darn thing. I originally purchased it in October of '03 and as those above, began getting error messages ("disc error" or something to that effect) within 5 or 6 months. I bought this Coby DVD player a few years ago. Actually,it was my first DVD player. For the longest time, I couldn't understand why everyone loved DVD's so much. Pros Cheap piece of junk--which worked long enough for the 90 warranty to expire--
Cons Dies fast. After the warranty, but costs too much to even consider fixing.
Recommended it? No

Bought it cause it was cheap, dumping it in the garbage because it is cheap and became possessed within months by a devil--that plays different tracks on DVDs with extra tracks. So when you are trying to watch a movie, you get director's commentary blah-blah-blahing throughout. Not even worth... Read full review »
