That’s because it’s built from magnesium which keeps the STI invisible to radar detector detectors. The Bel STi Driver features a Multiple Threat Display, which will let you know if multiple radar signals are detected at once, and their relative signal strength. The AutoScan feature of the STi Driver eliminates the need to shift between city and highway modes, and virtually eliminates false alarms. This model also supports the detection of "POP" mode radar. Pros Great Ka sensitiviy, does not false on Ka. Extremely sensitive K. Autoscan mode (great)
Cons Falses on K band. understanding K falsing levels and duration makes this a non-issue..

The absolute best detector I have owned. I have had this for over a year without getting a ticket. 2 nights ago the 995 started going crazy. Ka, Pop and laser. Pros The magnesium case they use to house the electronics in is strong and beefy.
Cons The parts they use are of poor quality.
