Some Palm V quirks you should know about before you buy

bytanster Dec 16, 1999

Pros Sexy-cool
Cons Battery is not replaceable, couple of bugs that can accidentally drain your battery
Recommended it? Yes

Note: This review was updated 6/6/00.

No question about it, the Palm V is sexy. Before you buy one, though, you should be aware of some of its quirks, some more annoying than others. These quirks are especially apparent if you currently own (and like) the Palm III.

Pros User friendly, sufficient storage capacity, interchangeable between device and computer
Cons None
Recommended it? Yes

I had long wanted a hand held organizer, one that would have both computer interchangeable abilities and one that would be able to perform different applications. Pros WiFi, Bluetooth, fast 624Mhz processor, great design, included cradle, CF/SD slots,...
Cons no jog dial, high battery consumption
Recommended it? Yes

I have never been a fan for PDAs. I used to own an Ipaq a year back but I ended up only keeping it for about 3 weeks before selling it again. The problems with PDA technology back then for me were numerous: the expansion ports were lacking, CPU power was weak, memory sizes were small, there was no... Read full review »

Dell's Top of the Line Doesn't Burst the Wallet

byyusakugo Dec 8, 2004
67 Helpfuls 68 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros VGA screen, fast processor, dual expansion card slots, removable battery, price
Cons size, quirks, Windows Mobile 2003SE use of VGA screen, battery life, slower than specs...
Recommended it? Yes

I haven't visited Pocket PCs in quite some time... nearly two years now. I still have an Audiovox Maestro which is really a mildly stripped down version of the old Toshiba e570.
